Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that helps clients recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. By reframing negative thinking and developing healthier coping mechanisms, individuals can better manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. CBT is highly effective and widely used for a range of mental health concerns.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT is especially beneficial for individuals who experience intense emotions or struggle with self-harm, suicidal ideation, or borderline personality disorder. This therapy combines acceptance and change strategies, teaching clients key skills in:

  • Mindfulness: Enhancing present-moment awareness

  • Distress Tolerance: Navigating crisis without making the situation worse

  • Emotional Regulation: Understanding and managing emotional responses

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Strengthening communication and relationship skills

Psychodynamic Therapy

Rooted in psychoanalytic traditions, psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences—especially early relationships—shape current behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. Through insight-oriented dialogue, clients can uncover unconscious patterns and unresolved conflicts, fostering greater self-awareness and emotional healing.

Trauma-Informed Care

Recognizing that trauma can have a lasting impact on mental and emotional well-being, our trauma-informed approach prioritizes safety, empowerment, and collaboration. Clinicians are trained to avoid re-traumatization and to work at a pace that respects the client’s comfort and readiness to heal.

Supportive Therapy

Supportive therapy provides clients with a safe, nonjudgmental space to process their thoughts and feelings. This approach emphasizes validation, encouragement, and guidance, often serving as a stabilizing force for individuals coping with ongoing stress, life transitions, or chronic mental health issues.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

MI is a client-centered, collaborative approach that helps individuals resolve ambivalence and build motivation for change. It is particularly effective for clients addressing substance use, lifestyle changes, or health-related behaviors. The therapist supports autonomy while helping clients identify their personal values and goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Incorporating techniques such as meditation, breathing exercises, and body awareness, mindfulness-based therapy helps clients stay grounded in the present moment. This practice reduces stress, improves emotional regulation, and enhances overall psychological resilience. It is often integrated into other modalities like CBT or DBT.

Solution-Focused Therapy

This brief, goal-oriented modality emphasizes strengths and future possibilities rather than past problems. Clients are encouraged to envision their desired outcomes and identify steps to achieve them. Solution-focused therapy is practical, empowering, and effective for individuals seeking tangible progress in a short time frame.

Medication Management

For clients who may benefit from pharmacological support, our psychiatric providers work collaboratively with therapists and clients to evaluate, prescribe, and monitor medications. We believe in a balanced approach, where medication, when indicated, complements the therapeutic process to support long-term well-being.
